A year has passed....

Time has flown by.... a year in the blink of an eye.  I am happy to report I passed 2nd year if only by the skin of my teeth, but that was good enough for me after all that happened leading up to exams. This year was a busy one and I am not even sure I could remember everything that happened if I tried.

Classes were tough enough, lots of studying, midterms, leading up to end of semester exams. Had one elective in the large animal hospital working late night shifts which was quite interesting and it was nice to interact with real patients.  More anatomy and dissection was to be had in both semesters.  And we were back on the farm 2nd semester for reproduction, nutrition, and food animal production practicals. Also had my animal handling exam on the farm at the end of 2nd semester which while a bit nerve wracking I did manage to pass.

The year was fraught with health issues from eye infections, to a lingering abdominal pain, a hip issue, and finally ending in having my appendix excised in the week leading up to end of 2nd semester exams.  Roc made sure to have his own health issues sporadically and usually at the most inopportune times - he is good like that.  But it seems for now we are both in ok health.  Fingers crossed that will continue.

Summer is in full swing and I am still in search of a job to make ends meet.  Apparently being an American and having only job experience in the states is a huge tick against me, but I continue to persevere hoping that someone will look past where I am from and give me a chance.  Other than the continual job search there are rugby matches (Go Lions!), movies on my computer, and whiskey... there will always be whiskey.
